Following their successes at the Warwickshire championships earlier in the season, four of our U13 athletes were selected to represent Warwickshire at the Intercounties match in Nottingham on September 8th.
Congratulations to Zac Humphries, Eve Godsal, Monique James-Thomas and Lily Smith on their selections as the ‘A’ string athlete in their respective events.
Despite a wet, windy and cool day all performed well in their toughest competition of the year. Zac won the 75m H in 12.66s, Eve was 4th in the 70m H in 12.80s, Monique was 3rd in the shot with a throw of 8.32m and Lily 4th in the Long Jump with a leap of 4.31m, all just below their season’s personal bests, achieved in better conditions.
