U15 Boys Closing in on Title as Throws Squad Hits “Quadruple Gold”

The penultimate fixture of the Sportshall Athletics League was a showcase of BRAT athletics. With a clean sweep in the U13 Shot Put and vital wins on the track and in the jumps, the club is in a fantastic position ahead of the Grand Finale on March 7th.

🥇 Field Event Fury: The Throws Squad

The headline story of the match was the absolute dominance of our throwers. The club achieved a spectacular “Quadruple Gold” in the U13 Shot Put, winning every single category available!

  • U13 Boys Shot Put: It was a total lockout. Adrian Demanya won the A string, while Peyton Kalala secured victory in the B string.
  • U13 Girls Shot Put: The girls matched them perfectly. Rose Ricardo won the A string, and Hiba Bailey took victory in the B string to complete the clean sweep.

⚡ U13 Highlights: Speed & Power

The U13 girls were in electric form in the gym, particularly in the Speed Bounce, where we took maximum points.

  • Darcy McDaid bounced her way to victory in the Speed Bounce A.
  • Hiba Bailey made it a double for herself (adding to her Shot Put win) by winning the Speed Bounce B.
  • Tiffany Campbell showed her class on the track, powering to victory in the 4 Lap B race.

🌟 U11 Highlights: Oscar & Leo Shine

Our youngest athletes provided some of the most exciting moments of the day.

  • Oscar Andres Falomir was the standout performer for the U11 Boys. He produced a fantastic display to secure two individual event wins, bagging maximum points for the team.
  • Leo Parekh showed his spring in the jumps, soaring to victory in the Standing Triple Jump.

🏆 U15 Boys: The Title Charge

The U15 Boys are now tantalizingly close to the league title. They dominated the match with 406 points, extending their aggregate lead to 1141 points.

Top U15 Performers (The “40-Point Club”):

  • Muayyad Mohamed (116 pts): The top scorer on the day. Muayyad was in blistering form, taking 1st place in the Standing Triple Jump (7.47m) and finishing 2nd in the 4-Lap Race.
  • Dominic Thulani Francis-Gordon (112 pts): A great performance. Thulani powered to victory in the Standing Long Jump with a huge leap of 2.52m and backed it up with a strong 2nd place in the 2-Lap Race.
  • Hephzibah Emmanuel Kokoh (108 pts): Our Athlete of the Match! She was the highest-scoring female athlete on the day, leading the U15 Girls team from the front.
  • Austin Demanya (108 pts): Consistent excellence across track and field to keep the points tally high.
