Event: Birmingham Sportshall League 🏆
It was another action-packed afternoon for BRAT at the second fixture of the Sportshall League. With a great turnout across all age groups, our athletes delivered some standout individual performances—particularly in the field events—while our relay teams battled hard for every point. 💪
Here is a round-up of the day’s action:—–U15 Boys: Muayyad Leads the Way! 🚀
The U15 Boys squad had a fantastic afternoon, finishing 2nd on the day and cementing their place as 2nd in the Overall League Standings. 🥈
A huge congratulations goes to Muayyad Mohamed, who was the top performer of the match. Muayyad scored an incredible 118 points on the day to lead the team, securing maximum points in the Triple Jump 👟 and Speed Bounce, along with a strong run in the 4 Lap.
The “Throws Squad” was also in dominant form. Temi Dada won the Shot Put with a massive throw of 10.03m, taking maximum points for the team! 🥇
Other U15B Highlights:
- Dominic Thulani Francis-Gordon showed great speed to finish 2nd in the 2 Lap sprint (22.1s). 💨
- The team took joint 1st place points in the Paarlauf relay.
—–U15 Girls: Shot Put Dominance! 👑
The U15 Girls finished 4th on the day, but the highlight was undoubtedly their dominance in the circle. BRAT athletes secured a 1-2 finish in the Shot Put:
- Hephzibah Emmanuel Kokoh took 1st place with a throw of 9.11m. 🥇
- Palia Kalala followed closely in 2nd place with a throw of 8.19m. 🥈
Tamera Campbell also had a fantastic day, finishing 6th in the All-Rounder standings. She secured a 2nd place finish in the Standing Long Jump with a leap of 2.08m.—–U13 Boys: Clean Sweep in the Shot! 🧹
The U13 Boys finished 3rd on the day, but they are currently sitting joint 2nd in the Overall League Table. 🥈
The story of the day for the U13s was the Shot Put, where BRAT took a clean sweep of the Gold medals across both strings:
- Adrian Demanya won the Shot Put A with a throw of 8.00m. 🥇
- Peyton Kalala won the Shot Put B with a throw of 6.56m. 🥇
Other U13B Highlights:
- Elliot Jones had a brilliant all-round day, finishing 2nd in the Triple Jump A and 2nd in the 6 Lap race.
- Lombe Lombe took 2nd place in the Speed Bounce B.
- Musaddiq Mohamed ran a storming race to finish 2nd in the 4 Lap B string.

The U13 Girls team finished 4th on the day and are currently holding joint 2nd place in the Overall League. 🥈
Field events were key to the points tally:
- Rose Ricardo was in fine form, taking 2nd place in the Vertical Jump A and 3rd place in the Long Jump A.
- Darcy Mcdaid showed great energy to finish 2nd in the Speed Bounce A.
- Tiffani Campbell secured a solid 3rd place in the Triple Jump A.
- Hiba Bailey added valuable points with a 2nd place in the Speed Bounce B.

Our youngest athletes showed great spirit! The U11 Boys finished 3rd on the day and are currently joint 2nd overall, while the U11 Girls are holding 4th place overall.
U11 Boys Highlights:
- Relay Win: The highlight of the track action was the 2×1 Lap Relay B team, who stormed to victory for 1st place! 🥇
- Leo Parekh took 3rd in both the Long Jump A and Chest Push A.
- Leo Smith backed him up with a great 2nd place in the Long Jump B.
- Kai Ali jumped his way to 2nd place in the Triple Jump B.
- Mekaeel Ahmed was a valuable point scorer, taking 3rd in the Speed Bounce B.
U11 Girls Highlights:
- Eloise Newman showed great strength to take 3rd place in the Chest Push A.
- Beatrice-Rosie Follows matched that effort with a 3rd place in the Chest Push B.
- Nova-Annalise Saltmarsh jumped well for 3rd place in the Triple Jump A.
- Peonya Kalala bounced her way to joint 3rd in the Speed Bounce B.
