On Sunday 23rd May , 100 juniors took part in a multievent competition at the Birmingham University track on a cool blustery day, but fortunately the recent incessant rain stayed away.
The U11’s took part in a triathlon , comprising of 75m, 600, and howler throw. Twins Erin and Josephine Colclough were joint winners in the U11 girls competition, whilst Mustopha Bailey took the U11 boys title.
The U13’s took part in a quadrathlon, comprising of 100m, 600m, Shot and Long Jump. Alba Smith -Pena and Robert Lee were the respective winners.
The U15’s were challenged with 5 events, 100m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot and high jump. Lily Smith and Nathaniel were the winners of each competition.
Our thanks go to all the parents who volunteered to help the regular officials meet the challenging timetable of over 20 track races and 12 field event competitions, all squashed into a 3 hour programme, and to Nigel Clegg for organising the event.
