The 2025/2026 junior Sportshall season officially came to a close this past weekend, and the BRAT squad ensured it was a finale to remember! Our young athletes delivered exceptional performances across the board, securing overall league titles, individual event victories, and a massive haul of podium finishes.
From explosive sprints and endurance relays to incredible displays of power in the field events, our athletes did the club immensely proud.
π U15s: Muayyad Takes the Title & Hephzibah Wins the Finale!
The U15 competition requires athletes to be true all-rounders, accumulating points across a range of track and field events throughout the season.
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Muayyad Mohamed is the U15 Boys Overall Champion! Putting in a spectacularly consistent season, Muayyad finished with a massive 349 points to take the 1st place crown. Joining him on the overall podium was teammate Dominic Thulani Francis-Gordon, who secured 3rd place overall with a brilliant 306 points. Having two BRAT athletes in the top three of the region’s best all-rounders is an incredible achievement!
Meanwhile, in the U15 Girls competition, Hephzibah Emmanuel Kokoh put on an absolute masterclass to win the final fixture of the season outright! She was the top scorer on the day across all clubs, racking up an unbeatable 112 points to sign off her winter season in spectacular style.
π₯ Individual Event Victories (The Gold Standard)
Our U13 squad was in devastating form during the individual events, picking up a string of 1st place finishes:
- The U13 Boys Shot Put Sweep: BRAT completely dominated the shot put circle. Adrian Demanya took 1st place in the A-string with a massive throw of 8.85m, while Peyton Kalala secured 1st place in the B-string with a 6.69m effort!
- Double Gold for Bailey: Hiba Bailey had a phenomenal day in the U13 Girls category, winning 1st place in the B-string Shot Put (6.93m) and following it up with another 1st place in the B-string Speed Bounce (73 bounces).
- Speed Bounce Brilliance: Darcy McDaid showed incredibly fast feet to tie for 1st place in the U13 Girls A-string Speed Bounce, racking up an amazing 79 bounces.
- Track Success: Tiffani Campbell burned up the track to take 1st place in the U13 Girls 4-Lap B race, clocking a rapid 51.1 seconds.

The points kept rolling in across all age groups thanks to a phenomenal number of top-3 finishes in the jumps, runs, and throws:

π€ Relay and Team Brilliance
Sportshall is famous for its chaotic, high-energy relays, and our teams stepped up to the challenge to bring home several top-3 finishes:
- U11 Boys 2×1 Relay: The boys’ duo combined perfectly to secure 2nd place with a time of 25.6s.
- U13 Girls 8-Lap Paarlauf: A grueling endurance relay, but our girls paced it beautifully to take 2nd place in 105.3s.
- Circuit Relays: Our squads packed well in the obstacle-filled Circuit Relays, with the U11 Boys, U11 Girls, and U13 Boys all securing highly competitive 3rd place finishes in their respective races.
A huge congratulations to every single athlete who pulled on the vest this winter. The energy, teamwork, and results have been outstanding. Now, itβs time to take this momentum outdoors for the summer track and field season! π΄β«
