Led by Team Captains Claire Fudge and Helen Pike, the BRAT women had a fantastic day of racing at the Midlands 6-Stage Road Relays at Sutton Park on Saturday 1st April. With 3 women’s teams of competing, it was a fully inclusive event with a good mix of both new BRAT ladies and some of our more experienced athletes. In fact, the team consisted of ladies competing between 19 and 62 years of age!
The speedy A-Team finished (2:43:12) in 17th position out of 61 complete teams. A determined B-Team (3:12:25) ran well in 41st position whilst the inspiring C-Team put in a strong performance despite being 1 runner down due to a last-minute injury.
The team hopes to continue their success when they return to the National Road Relays at Sutton Park on 15th April.
