Warley Woods was the place to be on Saturday 14th January as masses of BRATs converged on the park for the 3rd Birmingham League race where the BRAT men’s team continued their fine run of results.
There were BRAT supporters all round the course and we had 34 finishers on the day our biggest turnout of the season. We finished in an impressive 4th place behind the three Universities (Loughborough, Birmingham, and Warwick who were all particularly strong this time in the lead up to BUCS). So we were top Club team on the day and even managed to move up into 2nd place in the League overall with one race to go.
BRAT A team scored 244 to finish 4th (Adam, Jethro, Paddy, JP, Dan R, and Will)
BRAT B team scored 572 to finish 3rd (Dan D, Jeremy, Jake, Johnny, Matt P, and Oliver H) this score would have beaten 6 clubs’ A teams. BRAT B currently sit at the top of the B team table
Our masters teams finished as 2nd A team (Dan R, Dan D, Johnny C, and Matt P ) and 2nd B team (Abayomi, Steve D, Sean Rose, and Alex P).
Great to see some more of our U20’s getting into the action: Jeremy well up there again, with Oscar and Oliver B making their debuts. So we have now had five U20’s turn out for the team this season.
Many thanks to Richard Carney who was on officiating duties at the finish.
Thanks to everyone who turned out to run or support, it makes a big difference.
Many thanks to everyone who came along to run or to support support, it really made a big difference, and many thanks to the BRAT ladies team who stayed on after their race to cheer the guys.
